A new legislation in Germany stipulated that without driving licenses and duty-free engines one could ride under 200 cc. The Z 200 had a new two-stroke engine with a cylinder that tilted slightly forward. He had 4.5 hp. The Z 200 remained in production for only one year, 1928.
