The American Zündapp importer Joe Berliner ordered a special version of the R150, the Suburbanette. This was a stripped down R 150, where the engine cover was "cut away". This made the Bella 24 kg lighter and 8 km per hour faster. The Suburbanette was only available in red and there were 370 copies sold.
