EFS was founded by Eurico Ferreira Sucena in 1911 as a small company for the production of accessories to support the bicycle industry in the Portuguese city of Lugar da Borralha, Agueda. In 1952, EFS produced its first motorcycle. In 1969, exports to Africa, Europe and America began. In 1978 they produce a 125 cc. EFS uses different engines such as Sachs, Kreidler, Casal, Zundapp, Derbi, Minarelli, Cucciolo and Yamaha. Many models can be equipped with different engines at the request of the customer.
